Looks like I'll do the trigger shot tomorrow and ER Tues. I am so nervous about the shot and retrival. I hate pain! What are they like?

Babymaking- As for the shots, You will be fine. It is super quick. Before you know it, the shot will be done! As for the retrieval, I have not had mine yet, so I cannot speak to that. I am sure other people will give you some feedback on that...

Just remember, ALL of this is to get to the PRIZE, and whatever it takes, it is SO worth it....

Good luck! babydust!

Hi everyone, I am going into my 33rd week of my first pregnancy. We did 1 IVF cycle and it worked!!! The best place for your embryos is in your bod!!!! Pure and simple. That is the fact of the matter. The doctors take them to 5 days because in some cases it is difficult to see which of them is the fittest and they do the selective thing at that point. But, ideally one wants to put them back inside where they belong on day 3.

I had a 3 day transfer with 5 embryos. I had 1 excellent, 3 good and 1 fair. Now, I have a baby boy growing inside of me and I am thinking damn you wrestled four other people out of contention, so you must be a strong one!

I am 45 now and started all this when I was 44 (my birthday was in August) and we did the transfer in March.

Dee,

Does taking soy isoflavones 5 times/cycle help us to kick start our reproductive system??

Wow congrats Jaca!!! There IS hope!!

Lots of IVF's going on. GOOD LUCK to you all!!! Hope we get a couple of BFP's going out of it! I'll need to go back and catch up on everone! :)

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone.. not feeling so optomistic, so have kinda stayed away for a bit.. Lots of craziness going on in life in addition to TTC... aie yi yi!

Anyhoo, 14dpo today and no symptoms at all, as usual. I have not tested, and I won't test. Beta will be Tuesday.

I'll be visiting family in the US for Thanksgiving, so may not be able to do another IUI this upcoming cycle.. I hate to think of taking a month off when I may only have a few months left!! Will see how the calendar plays out...

Babydust and best wishes!!

Jacassere, congrats! :) Thanks for sharing!!!

Susy, soy isoflavones works much like Clomid does, but I've recently learned that too much soy in the 5 days can delay ovulation, so if this cycle is a bust, then I think I'll go from 200mg to 120 and see what happens, and next year, I think we'll work with my OB and try Clomid again.....we'll see :)

Roxanne, hope you get a BFP and yes, many IVF's going on and I wish you ALL the BEST of "luck" :)
