I know that after the pills are taken there can be some bleeding that can take a couple of days, but this is not the period. When this bleeding takes place that this means that the pills worked and there is no risk of pregnancy?

If the birth control pills were stopped and a "period" was noted, then the risk of pregnancy is minimal, although in this world, nothing is 100%. If a pregnancy was present, there shouldn't have been any bleeding after stopping the pill. Hope this info helps and we're here to inform and support...
