adoption, something crazy!

Wow, Chels! With so many kids needing homes, how nuts is that. They need to realize that two people were involved in the divorce, not just one. Gosh! IS that a local agency? I wonder who Kan went thru? Maybe we should just go to Nebraska and wait for someone to drop a baby off at 'safe haven'. I just can't get over how hard it its!

She got all wacky when i mentioned the kids, you would think that would be a good thing that i can raise good kids AND afford to throw them 12 grand to get another child, right? lol!

It is a local agency, i think i will look into bigger agencies and see what they can offer. I know that her baby came from another state but i dont know how they got in touch with the birth mama, i worry about internet scams, ya know?

I know way too much about infertility and TTC and now i have to learn a whole new thing i never thought i would need to..... the turns our lives make! :)

Gosh, I know..I don't know a thing about adoption. Yeah, Kan did go out of state. To Oklahoma..does that sound right? Well, maybe she can give ya some tips! :)

Chels.. Im so sorry hun that ur going through this. I know that the children in africa and china are alittle more easier to adopt esp in China since they have the 1 rule law which to me is crazy!

Also I have heard that bi racial children are easier to adopt also.

Maybe trying the foster program in ur town and see what they say. They might be able to help u out also.

Cant foster, that would kill me to know that they could/would leave, plus as terrible as this sounds i have to think of my children and cant bring a "problem" kid into my home and around them. Just wouldnt be fair to the kids i already have. They are my 1st priortiy, ya know?

I watched something on adoptions from Russia i think and the adopting parents no NOTHING about the child they are going to get - they make the trip and "decide" when they get there if they want the baby. They know nothing about the birth mama or what she may have done while preggo, so scary and sad. Who would go all the way there and then turn away a baby?

Chels, I suggest going through a private adoption agency. It is way way more costly and riskier, but they do not have all of the rigid and stupid requirements that local agencies have.

how do i find a private agency? how do i know that its private?

This makes me so angry! What agency was it that you spoke with? Also, where are you located? I'm work in Adoptions and think I can help...
