I currently live in Romania and have been seeing an acupuncturist for about a month. I also just had my 1st IVF which was unsuccessful. I have told my acupuncturist about our infertility and also that we were doing IVF. I read an earlier response to an acupuncture questions where it was mentioned that there are some places where needles should not be placed during ET time and until pregnancy is confirmed. Where are those points? Because there is a bit of a language barrier with my acupuncturist, he has not really explained why he is putting needles in certain places. When I 1st started going to him, needles were placed behind my ankles (between my ankle and heel), outside of my calf/shin, outer edge of my left ear, and below my belly button or just above my pubic bone. Since the ET, he has avoided the stomach area all together. Are there places I should ask him to avoid and/or places I should request he place needles to help increase my chances for success during our next IVF?
