I am 22 years old and I have been married for one and a half years. I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY... however since my husband has joined the US Air Force we now live in Charleston, SC. We have been TTC #1 since we got married. Back in June '07 I found out that I have PCOS. Because of this I was put on Metformin alone... with no results. In November the doctor decided to throw Femara into the mix. I started taking that on November 22nd (Thanksgiving Day). With this first round there was no success... I had my progesterone taken at CD20 and still my progesterone level will not rise above 1. I am hopeful that one day (though I hope it is soon) God will bless my husband and I with a beautiful and healthy baby. Until then.... let the journey continue! To all of you who are TTC.... Welcome to the group...you're going to find many women here are in the same boat as you with PCOS. TTC is a long journey but the women here are fabulous and very supportive and Dr. Q is wonderful at answering all of our questions. I wish you a ton of luck in ttc and am sending you lots of

we are in a similar boat Ethie! I have PCOS and we have been TTC since March. I have taken 3 rounds of clomid- with no success for Ovulation, my progesterone doesnt rise above 1.0 either.

Hang in there, good luck to you. Have you seen an RE yet?

No I have not seen an RE yet. My OBGYN has been taking care of me and after I do 3 rounds of Femara (If there is no luck) then she will send me.

Yes that sounds like what Im doing- only with clomid-

This time was my 3rd, and I took 150mg and then Ill be off to see RE once that doesnt work...

Its scary and emotional- but hang on and try to enjoy the ride!

I will know if it worked a few days after christmas- the 27th

I will have lab work done this saturday- and the docs office is closed until then so I wont hear from them until then...

So far no pos OPK.....:(

Hi Ethie! When in 2006 did the two of you get married. I am also 22 and am in a similar situation. We have been trying for almost a year and I too have PCOS. I am currently taking clomid to help me ovulate. We got married on June 17th of 2006.

I am on my third month right now! If this month doesnt work i am getting upped to 100 mg for another 3 months.
