So having 8 mature follicles doesn't mean all 8 will release? Also, if I release 1 or 2 eggs what happens to the rest? He also said I don't have a lot of cervicle mucous. Will that prevent pregnancy completely?
8 Follicles!

Hi,
I just returned from the fertility center and wanted some information clarified. The doctor did an ultrasound and found about 8 mature follicles. This is my third month on clomid and was told the chance of multiples was only 10%. He suggested backing off for this month and see what happens. I got a positive ovulation test yesterday and babydanced last night. The doctor also told me that in his 15-20 years of work he has only seen clomid triplets twice. Do you think it is likely that I will release more than one of those mature eggs? I don't want to give up on this cycle, but I don't want 8 babies

I totally understand, the doc weants us to try clomid this month, we have 2 children already, and twins are in the family..so we decided it was not in the plans for us to risk twins. So we have opted to do it with out the use of fertility drugs. Everyone needs to make the decision for what it good for their family. I wish you luck and prayer
