I'm seeing my Dr. tom. but until then i can't get a peace mind so pls leave some suggestions!!

It is very common to have some spotting in pregnancy. It usually is not of any consequence. I would not worry unless you start to bleed like a period. Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow... I would just refrain from intercourse and try to take it easy the next 2 weeks.

Yuki - I miscarried last March at 6 weeks. My first sign of miscarriage was brown blood when I wiped. It was gone the next couple of times I wiped, but when I got home from work it was back again. The brown blood slowly turned to bright red blood, but was still only there when I wiped. It took a few hours for me to start bleeding heavily, and I didn't miscarry until the middle of the night.

However, when I called my doctor about the brown blood, his nurse told me that brown blood could mean nothing as well. Sometimes if the cervix is bumped during sex, you can bleed.

I sincerely hope that this is nothing and that you go on to have a happy and healthy nine months. I would also encourage you to call your doctor as soon as possible to get his/her opinion. Good luck!

Yes some spotting is normal....are you having any cramping? If you do or if the blood turns red then I would start to call the doc and get checked out! Hope all is good! Tons and tons of sticky glue! Keep us posted!

Brown blood is old blood, not an active bleed.

I had bright red blood at 5 weeks with Mia. Turns out it was called "subchorionic hemmorage", is quite common and turned out fine!

I was advised no sex or activity for the rest of the first trimester.

Well I just had a m/c 6 days ago and it started with brown blood and NO cramping. It was there when I wiped and then gone for hrs then there again when I wiped. I went to the ER were they confirmed I had a m/c. It took 3-4 days b4 I had any red blood.

Please stay off of ur feet and take it easy. I really hope that everything is A-Okay!

I had some brown discharge when I was 6 weeks pregnant and freaked out myself. I called my RE and was told no intercourse and to take it easy but they weren't very concerned since it was just a bit of brown blood. I'm now 11 1/2 weeks and everything is ok - so try not to worry. Just take it easy. If it turns red though I would go in and get it checked out.

I went to the Dr. today.Did a screen test. They couldn't find the baby but the pregnancy was there.Dr. thinks it might be a little early.

I had my last period on 26 July.and got a +ve on 24 august. My cycle is irregular so i think i ovulated late.N i think that i might not be 6 weeks yet. What do u suggest??

My bleeding has turned red but its not heavy yet.I got a some kind of hormones shot to keep my pregnancy stable.I'm keeping my finger crossed.Hope this is just an Implantation bleeding n nth much.

Hey Sheppler, when u got brown discharge,Did u do any screen test?Did they find the sac??

Mellisa, how did they diagnose that it was subchorionic hemmorage??

Yuki, I was about 5w at the time and they said they couldn't do an ultrasound since there would be "nothing to see". So, they did a blood test and repeated it 2 days later to make sure I was increasing hCG as I was supposed to.

Then, at around 8 weeks, they did an ultrasound, saw the sac and the little "peanut".

Here is that ultrasound:

Yuki - I called my doctor when I first discovered the brown blood, and they told me that the brown meant old. They told me to take it easy and to call if anything else happened. Like I said before, there was nothing when I wiped the next few times. It wasn't until I got home about 2 hours later that there was blood again when I wiped. It was the brown mixed with red. I called the on-call doctor since it was after hours and he told me that if it was miscarriage, there was nothing that could be done. He also told me that some women have what is called a threatened miscarriage. In this case, there is bleeding but the baby is fine. I hoped for the best, but the bleeding picked up (again, it was only there when I wiped, but it became more and more) and I miscarried that night. The whole thing happened so quickly. The really sad thing is that I had my first ultrasound appointment scheduled for the following day. Instead of getting to see our baby, I had the "post-miscarriage health check."

Has the bleeding stopped?

September 11, 2008

Yea, when i woke up today there wasn't any red blood in my pantyliners.Sry TMI.But later on there was some dark brown discharge when i wiped up.But it seemed like old dirt.As i did a bloost work yesterday,I called the nurse to know my HCG level but they won't reveal such thing on phone. My dr.'s asst told that I have to go tom. to do another one and they have to compare the numbers. But i can't wait until tom. I just wanted to know if the number is too low or just good. But guess i'll have to wait until next day.

its scaring the hell outta me.But thank god the sac is still there.I haven't got big blood clots yet so i'm keeping my fingers crossed*

Thanks sheppler.and did they do any U/S on u before the M/C?

September 11, 2008

Yuki - It is a good sign that there is no red blood. I hope that you get great news tomorrow! Like I mentioned before, my first ultrasound was scheduled for the day after my miscarriage, so there was no ultrasound beforehand. They did do an ultrasound after the miscarriage to make sure that everything was progressing the way that it should.

I wish the best for you, and please keep us updated.

OMG, ugly af is going to arrive? brown discharge has now changed to red blood, fresh.I can't imagine i'm going to M/C.But thank god at least the sac is still there.I went in to the emergency sec and they did a vaginal U/S again. And still the Ges. sac was empty with no yolk sac and no fetal pole. And the Sac measured 5.smth yesterday while 6.smth today.Yesterdays beta level was 3000+.i'll be doing another tom. If the number increases then will there be a lower chance of M/C??

with the size of sac,Dr. said it might be early pregnancy but its inside the uterus.

Can there be any other reason i might be bleeding and come to think of it,even though my cycle is irregular,i think it should be coming around this time.

Will my baby develop in next week??or is there no any chance?? HELPPPP

Do you have any idea how far along you should be?

I really hope that you get good news from the doctor. Be sure to rest today and take it easy.

thanx 4 all ur suggest. ladies.

Yesterday the bleeding became heavier and at night i paased out a thumb sized tissue.I was sure i miscarried but i did not have severe cramps. It was just normal one or may be cos i was hurt emotionally thats y i dint notice physical pain.^_^

I went to test my beta today and it came down to 1000 from 3000 yest. Through scanning, they said there are still some tissues left.I was asked to get admitted as they will clean up the remaining tissues but i asked if i can let it go naturally and i was given Co-Amoxiclav 625mg tablet to take for 1 week and see doctor again...
