April 20, 2008

Melissa the only temps that count are the basal body temps, ie the temps you take at rest when you first wake up after at least 3 hours of sleep and before you get out of bed or speak or even remove your sheets. Taking temps during the day or at night will not give you an accurate reading because it depends a lot on what you were doing.

Usually you can see the hb on an u/s between 6-7 weeks and can hear it with a doppler anywhere from 11-13 weeks.

Congrats! :)

Hey Melissa- first - congrats :)

Second I think you can hear the heartbeat on doppler at about 12 weeks- if not a little before, and you can see it usually on ultrasound at about 6 weeks!

Take care, :)

Holly I quit taking my temps the month I got preggo and didnt take it anymore once I was preggo. My doctor told me not to because I would just freak myself out. Oh and I wante to mention, you know how you said you are still taking HPTs...well I still take them and I am 10 weeks 4 days lol.
