5 weeks 3 days no heartbeat

I went to the doctor's yesterday and had an ultrasound. The baby measured 5 weeks and 3 days but he couldn't find a heartbeat. According to some ivf websites I should be 6 weeks. Should I worry? Wouldn't the baby have stopped growing if something was wrong?

Sometimes the heartbeat can not be seen until 7 weeks.

my RE said that they do an u/s around 5.5 weeks to check that all is well and something is in the uterus and dont expect a heartbeat at that u/s. Sometimes you can see it at the 6.5 week u/s but not even then always.

Like the girls said, way too early to worry. If you don't see one by 7 weeks then it's time to worry. I'm sure all will be fine hon. Keep us posted.
