Hi Angelfish, I have not taken a hpt or blood test. I'm pretty sure I did ovulate (a little later in my cycle), although I ran out of opks and was unable to test with them. If I ovulated a little late, would it make my period be this late?
5 days late

I am on cd33. Normally, I would have a 28 day cycle. So, I am 5 days late with no signs of starting my period. I also have no signs of pregnancy. I'm not stressed about anything (that I know of), so I'm just wondering what else could cause my period to be this late? I did have cramps and felt uncomfortable in my abdominal area for about 4 days last week, but I never started. Any suggestions?
Well it's time to take a hpt or blood test. If it's BFN then one of two things has happen
1. You ovulated later than you normally do hence no period and no BFP on a hpt. That is ok even the most regular women can ovulate anytime during the cycle. When you ovulate and not preggo your period should be arriving about 14 days later given a +/- 2 day window.
2. You haven't ovulate yet hence no period and no bfp on a hpt or +beta test. If that is true you need to see your dr to run further test and get your period induce via meds.

Yes, I live in the states. Do you think a normal hpt from Walgreen's or CVS would be pretty accurate if I took one first thing in the morning? And are there some hpts better than others? I just don't feel pregnant, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on the tests. I'm also leaving to go out of town in a little bit, so I don't have time to go get a beta test today.
