40 years man without a child....

I am a 40years old man and yet have no child of my own. What do I do because I am continually feeling depressed?

Hi Osuji,

For the most part, a relationship with a female partner is necessary so that you can have a child in most societies. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) has recently ethically stated that it is Ok that if a single gentleman desires a child, a surrogate can be used to carry the pregnancy and hand over the child at birth to the single parent ideally after psychological and legal clearance. Both are options that can be considered for you and others

You can also adopt. There are lots of babies that need a good home.

Osuji, I agree with Carrie. My husband and I have agreed if we cannot get pregnant that we will adopt...there are so many wonderful children out there that would love to have a person like you to be their father....
