39 Weeks with Brown Spotting

Doctor, I am 39 weeks today and on Tuesday my doctor checked my cervix and later that night I had reddish/brown spotting in my underwear. Today is Thursday and now I am having more spotting but its thicker and brown. Do I need to worry? Does this mean labour is going to start soon. please tell me what you think.

Spotting can be ok especially if just checked...heavier bleed, go straight to labor and delivery...We hope labor starts shortly and you can post baby pics soon on FT...

Hey sweetie! I'm sure it was from being checked! I'm in the same boat at 39weeks! But no baby yet! You are a day behind me! So exciting! Good luck and keep us informed!
