33 Week Check up

Hi everyone, I havent made an update now for a while~

So most of you know, I had high blood pressure prior to being pregnant- so Ive had TONS of ultrasounds and go every week starting 32 weeks.

So yesterday's ultrasound showed:

Sydney weighs 5lbs 5oz and has TONS of hair! And she is doing lots of practice breathing movements, and is enjoying a lot of amniotic fluid. (on the high side, not too much just on the high end)

Thank you for all of the support, Im getting so excited, and I cannot wait to meet her!

Im scared shes gonna be 12 lbs by the time shes born though! LOL So please pray she comes a little (but safely) early :)

Hi Lori!!

I always have high blood pressure....when I go to the doctor that is....so I have to take it at home.

We are getting so close now! (I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow).

I'm starting to get nervous too!

Great news Lori!!! Sydney is going to be beautiful. I can't wait to see her pics! Are you feeling ok other than the blood pressure? We need a new belly pic. I haven't seen one in a while. Give her a little pat for me and caden!!! hugs!

Wow, over 5 lbs!!! My ds came at 35 wks and was 6 lbs...you just may have a little chunky monkey there :). Can't wait to meet her!!!!!!

Thanks you guys! And yes I think I have a Chunky Monkey in there ;) LOL

They do always say that the ultrasound measurements can be off by so much though- so I take it with a grain of salt and assume that she is about 5lbs now! I remember being so excited when they said- ok the baby weighs about 5 oz. :) LOL

Its getting really exciting, and I cant wait to meet her and snuggle her!

Kelli- did your DS have NICU time? If so, how much?

Im wondering when does it become safe, but still early?? Like 36 weeks? 37 weeks?

I havent had high blood pressure since I started medication years ago- so its controlled by medicine and has been fine each time during pregnancy- so Im feeling like the medication has really helped a lot!

Hi Lori! Yes, he was in nicu for 11 days but he didn't end up there til hours after birth. What happend was, one time when the nurse came in to check on us, his temp was way down, so they wanted him under a heat lamp..well the next day his jaundice levels were high, so he had lights on..the next day he had a breathing apnea episode..and it just fell from there. So, quite possibly everything would've been ok had he not had a temp issue...b/c we could've gone home with bili lights and we'd never have known about the breathing apnea...b/c all babies have it..they aren't all on monitors tho. He came out of it on his own.

Lori

My first born came at 35 weeks 6 days and all was fine.

She was 5 lbs 15 oz and had no problems. We got to bring her home on my birthday, 2 days after she was born.
