30 Week and 5 day check up!!

Hi ladies i just wanted to let everyone know that all is going well with the twins. We went in for check up today and I am now measuring 36 weeks and both babies are now 3 pounds they so that was a plus when they told me that. I was excited. I haven't been talking much on here because i hop on for a minute and get off because of the bed rest and everything. but i hope all is well with everyone. they checked my cervix today and it was still measuring at 2.4 cm when i first got preggo it was 3.4 cm so it has changed alot over the course of the pregnancy.. Last week was the first time that they noticed the change as I have measure for cervical lenght by the perinatologist at each ultrasound. So since it is still closed and has not shortened anymore since last week we will continue the bed rest.
I have to say that this is starting to get the best of me. I am not usually a big venter I usually try to take things in stride.. But i almost feel like i am getng kind of down just laying here all day.. I know it is best for the girls but it is starting to take its toll on me and it has only been a week.. My finace has to be the best in the world waiting on me hand and foot..What would i do without him..

Thanks ladies..I appreciate it..Liane yes I feel the same way too...I guess I am getting inpatient because i want to meet them already..I don't know what it is..But 10 more weeks..I hope that i go all the way to give them the best chance..At least until 38 weeks..the doctor says that their lungs should be in the best shape if not in great shape because of the steroid shoots that i was given in the hospital..Thanks so much ladies..
Does your doctor consider you full-term at 36 weeks? Mine keeps telling me that is my "new due date" and that by 38 weeks I will considered 2 weeks over due and that they would not let me go past that point. She keeps telling me that as of Tuesday coming up I only have 6 weeks left until my "due date". Isn't it funny how different doctors have different opinions!
Well Liane I think that it is general practice to consider Twins term at 37 weeks that is what i heard. It just depends on the person. If it is an uncomplicated pregnancy and they babies lungs are mature then they will induce or do a c section as early as 35 weeks. Me and my doctor have not discussed when i will be considered term or anything like that but since i am having a c section and one of my babies are breeched and has been for the last 2 months (well she was never really head down i think since the begining.)..The perinatologist that i see told me that the have general rules for different pregnancies..Like for example with triplets they want to get them to 32 weeks i think..I am not sure but all the deliverires that i see on TV with triplets and higher order multiples they say with quints we want to get them to such and such weeks. So it is really not set in stone it is just that they need to stay in a certain time to make sure they have the best chance.
I want to get them to 37-38 weeks personally because they will have the best chance that they can have. We are having a csection but since i go in once a week and somtims twice a week for cervical length and cervical check she said that we will schedule the csection a little later on like in about 4 weeks or so...I remember Shelly having a set date and then one day she went into the Dr and was dialted..So you just never know...
