12 sleeps to go and getting scared about c-section
November 30, 2008
Ok so this is SOOO dumb but I am kinda getting scared about the thought of my csection..I had one 6 years ago with carleigh so i know what to expect, but still freaking out! has anyone had one latly that they thought went really well that could help ease my mind?
I've never had a C-Section, but I've had 3 natural deliveries. Since I had done the first two without pain meds, I was expecting myself to do it again with our son too. I was EXTRA, SUPER nervous about the delivery this time...even though I'd been through it twice already.
Sometimes I think the more we know, the more we worry.
Things went better than expected for me despite all of my worrying.
I hope this helps put your mind at some ease.
You will be fine. Before you know it, everything will be done and over, and your baby will be in your arms!

I think it's true the more we know the scarier it is..I was really sick after my section with carleigh bad reastion to the meds and threw up really bad for 6 days straight..none stop they did promise to give me different stuff this time..so hopfully that will help
Hi Mel. I know how nurve racking it can be to know what is coming with a c-section but really, you will be just fine. No big deal. And with it being planned, it will go very smoothly. I completly understand what you are going through. I had myself so worked up that I did not sleep for 2 days before mine and it really was just fine. The worst part was not being able to drink any water and starting the I.V. other than that, I did not feel anything. Even the spinal block was very easy. I know that you will do fine and good luck. Try to relax and DON'T WORRY! You little one will be here soon!
