11dpo--when should i test?

Snapshot

i am 11 dpo today, and i'm getting a little anxious, even though my prog level was lower than should be. i usually have some brown discharge the week before i start my period and have had none so far, and i'm only a few more days away from when i would start. My nipples seem very sore as of last nite, and i dont' remember them ever doing that before AF starts. But then again, it could just be happening this time.

I'm trying to hold out until Friday, my day 13, but what do you guys think? I've read several discussions where a lot of you have gotten positives on 11dpo. Should i take one today or wait?

(This is month 15 of TTC, along with one m/c in Oct.)

what was your prog level?

You can test at 11DPO but only in the morning so you can use first morning urine so go ahead and test 2moro with a early pregnancy test :)

LOTSA LUCK!!

my prog level was only 2.6, but i was only 2 days past ovulation. i thought i heard you were supposed to get it tested 7 dpo cause that's when the level peaked, but my doc's office said it didn't matter--that they always tested on day 21, UNLESS you were on Clomid or other fertility meds, which i'm not yet.

So my cycle was a little outside of their 14-17 ovulation window, so that could've made a difference, if they had waited a few more days to test, i suppose, although the nurse said it wouldn't have made THAT MUCH of a difference. Who knows. I still have hopes for this month. I know i ovulated on day 18, so i'm hoping i still have a chance : )

thats crappy of them! My doc does a day 21 test as well but when i have an IUI they do it 7 days past ovulation cuz thats when you get a good number.

If you know you ovulated your body will make a higher number of progesterone so i wouldnt worry much about that number.

Do you feel the prog in your body? Sleepy, bloated, boobs hurt, etc?

I would test for pregnancy in the morning, if you are then truley 12 DPO then you can deff get an accurate result :)

well i've been tired and boobs hurt, but not bloated. it seems the months i feel like i have some sort of symptom, it ends up being either pre-period, or anxiety about if it's a real symptom or not! Because the months i've felt good about our attempt to get pregnant, it turns out a negative again! So i guess i'm just used to negatives.

Although i had a dream this morning that i was getting an ultrasound to check my follicles and they nurse said "you've got an 8-weeker in there!" I was SHOCKED! So of course when i woke up i was 1)depressed it was just a dream AND 2) hopeful that i may still have a change this month. So it was mixed feelings. But i'll probably test in the morning and see if anything's clear at that point. If i do start my period this month, they're putting me on Clomid.

Hi!

Some people get clear or faint +hpt at 11dpo, but some don't. I didn't until a faint at 15dpo. So if you do test don't get down yet. Who knows....you may just not have enough hcg yet!!! Take care and good luck. Lots and lots of +hpt dust!!! :)

good that you have the prog symptoms - at least that means that you ovulated.

Sad to wake up after feeling so happy in a dream.

Take care and hopefully we will see your BFP post in the morning. If not, dont give up cuz like Fran said it can take longer for some.

Hi Andrea,

I agree with Fran and Chels, if you don't get a positive result then don't get discouraged just yet and just wait a day or 2 and retest with FMU.

Good luck and I am sending tons of BFP dust your way.
