That's why my first thought when I read her symptoms was that she could have BV (Bacterial Vaginosis.) and it is a pain in the butt to have. You don't need a referral from you doctor to see one. Use the phone book or word of mouth from one of your girlfriends. I personally believe that all women should have one anyway. And yes, a pap should have picked up on bacterial vaginosis. The culture should show that you have it, if you do and you would be prescribed anitibiotics. I had that before and the smell can get on your nerves. I will let him know that they can prescribe medicine to get rid of it. I had to take it twice because it went away then came back. But that was a year in a half ago. He can not deny you that although they check for those infections there. Something is definately going on with you in the pelvic region, and it is my belief that someone that specifically specializes (OB/Gyn) in that field should evaluate you. <br/><br/>Remember, you are in control of your health care, not the doctor.
