I went in for an ultrasound last night... It wasn't a regular ultrasound though.. My sister is a labor and delivery nurse and they have a machine up on their floor at the hospital... The machine sucked, it was so fuzzy half the time none of us could tell what we were looking at.. My sister thought she saw 3 lines, which indicates girl, but I didn't get excited because I didn't see it for myself.. Then another nurse came in and her and my sister both thought they saw the 3 lines again.. I still didn't see it so didn't get excited.... Then the little stinker sat indian style, or one legged indian style the rest of the time, which was so cute... You could see one leg straight down and the other way up covering the "goods." After alittle over 1/2 hr we were ready to call it quits when bam... Clear as day...GIRL!!!! It was for just a couple sec but all 3 of us yelled it out at the same time!!! I am not even believing this!! I'm going to hold out on running out to buy pink until the 17th when we know for sure.. The machine was so fuzzy, but 3 times we saw girl and nothing that resembled boy.... I don't want to get too excited and get my hopes up but I really really really think its a girl after seeing that last shot!!!!! AHHHHH!!! I guess I am in the 2WW again...Just a different kind, haha:)

HAHAHAHA CC that's great. I'm glad that you found out for sure that you are having a beautiful baby boy. That scan of the face thru the back of the head would have freaked me out too...lol...Good luck with picking out a name.

It's a boy and he's beautiful :) Much less creepy looking than the 18 week scan where we saw his face through the back of his skull since he had his back facing us. I'm already in love with the little thing, penis or vagina, and quite honestly I totally coddle the boy babies at work much more than the girl babies so maybe I won't be complete rubbish at mothering a little boy. Now to play the name game with DH

Congrats Fergie, so glad you finally found out! We went at 18 weeks and the tech said she was 85% sure it was a boy but the baby was in a really weird position and stuff with the back facing us so we couldn't really see anything. We're getting a high-resolution level 2 scan on friday at 6 so hopefully I'll know 100% then what I've got in there. I was so positive it was a girl too, I don't know why... and I keep dreaming it's still a little girl so maybe that 15% is enough otherwise I've got to get rid of all the girly things I've collected and pick out boy stuff!

We are having a boy, so I know when #2 comes I will hope for a girl, but if its another boy I will be just as happy :)

I guess that did sound confusing...I have a daughter, who my husband adopted... Then we have 2 sons together.. So I think I would be more 'needing' this one to be a girl if I only had my boys.. But if its not in the cards for me then I'm so happy I at least have 1 to dress girly and do hair with, lol..

Maybe a girl though, my best friends parents had my her first, then 6 years later had there second daughter, and then an accident rolled around 5-6years later again, and BOY. I do hope yall get your girl though :)

I can only imagine how much fun your life is with 3 little boys, or is it 2? Im confused...haha.

Glad your realtor has 3 herself, she knows how it is and that just is great for yall, instead of having someone who has no kids and would probably freak out...haha, it would be fun though, they are just excited :)

Wow, so if that is true, I'm definetely having another boy! My husband claims hes to "manly" to produce a girl, so hes just loving that idea of a 3rd boy...

and trust me 3 is crazy enough! I can't imagine what its going to be like once this one gets here and is old enough to join in on the running around with them... We went to put a offer in at a house yesterday and my husband and I just kept looking at eachother like what is wrong with these children, they are all sweet at home then we take them somewhere and it like...AAHHH! Everyone is running back and forth and making animal noises... I had to tell them 55000 times to quiet down.. I swear we couldn't hear half of what our realtor was saying.. But she has 3 herself so she just worked and talked thru it like it was nothing... She must be used to it too, haha..

We shall see what it is, cant wait to find out. I also heard that with every child you have that if its the same sex everytime the chances go down that the next will be the other. Like if you have a boy, then #2 its a 50%, but if you have a boy for #2, and then #3 its like 25% it would be a girl. I dunno how true that is either, I heard that a long time ago!

Hoping you have a girl though sweetie, more power to ya for 4kids, my limit is 2, but we may try for 3, but right now we are going to see how our first goes, and then go from there...haha!

So many people have said the method has worked for them, but theres a few thats had a girl on bding on day of... Hopefully I have a chance, but if its another boy, maybe theres room for another!! haha.. Ok I think 4 kids is my limit!!

When I got pregnant I only had sex on the day of +opk. We didn't have sex before, but also I ovulate early, if that means anything.

I thought that the closer to ovulation you have sex it could be a boy, but the further out girl. Its an old wives tale, but I know that we had sex closer to ovulation, and on the day of, and we are having a boy. I ovulated super late so didnt get to do my every other day until positive OPK, then the night of the positive, night of ovulation and night after, but we had sex the day before + OPK, day of +OPK and night of ovulation :)

I actually bd'd the day of ovulation. I used opks that cycle to find out if I did indeed ovulate on my own, due to the fact that I had been trying for 6 months with no luck. I found out that I do ovulate, just earlier that the standard. I hoe that helps you. Good luck!!!!

Tomorrow I go to the doctor and we will hopefully find out what the baby is. DH and I think that it is a girl, but what do you ladies think? We are so excited and just can't wait until the appointment tomorrow. I have a cute idea on how I will let our parent's know what it is too. I am going to stop and the store and pick up an outfit for the baby so that when they ask I can hold up the outfit and say "What do you think??"...lol
