Induction has been set up for 6 am (EST) on Thursday October 30th, 2008. The ob believes that because my cervix looks "good" and I am already dilated and effaced quite a bit, that I should deliver before midnight on the 31st. If not then guess candy and costumes may be part of all of Trey's future birthdays :). Guess we will know next week.

Well I made it to 37 weeks. Well 37 wks 3 days as of today. But the journey has not been without its complications. To date I have had 3 uti's, 4 shots to mature Trey's lungs and a shot to stop contractions. I started dilating/effacing and having real contractions at around 33 wks 4 days. At that time I was 1-2 cms dilated 80% effaced and having contractions every 8 mins. Now I am 2-3 cms dilated, 90-95% effaced (depending on who checks me and so forth) and contractions that are increasing but are not strong enough to affect the dilation and effacement any more at this point. I have been on bed rest since 33 wks 4 days and came off of it once I hit 36 weeks. I have been to L&D 5 times since I was 33 wks 4 days, and a total of 8 times since becoming pregnant. The other 3 times was due to pain as a result of a severe uti. Trey has d-celled around 3 times while at L&D and luckily his hb came up on its own. So they didnt really pay 2 much attention to it. Trey has also stayed baseline quite a bit the last few weeks. Because of all these complications, they planned to induce me in the 39th week of pregnancy. But now are going to be doing it at 38 1/2 weeks. I go on Thursday the 23rd @ 8:30 am to the ob again and that is when we will schedule the induction. It will be whatever day my main ob is on call at L&D since I prefer for him to be the one that delivers & does the induction. So I will have to update with the induction date on Thursday. I really have enjoyed the pregnancy, even with all the complications. But I can honestly say I am extremely anxious to meet my son and move on to the next phase of my life.

In short: Trey will be here one day next week as a result of being induced.

Updated Journey

I am now 19 weeks pregnant with what has been confirmed to be a boy. He is growing right on schedule and is actually measuring 4 days bigger than his G.A. The blood work came back normal so OB says there is nothing wrong with my little peanut. The blood work tested for Down syndrome and other abnormalities. Our little peanut will be making an appearence the beginning of November if not sooner. My biggest obstacle to date is getting over a severe uti that I have. Though I am on Keflex 500 mgs for a few more days to clear it up. Aside from that this pregnancy has been deemed perfect by my ob. No real complaints from me either. Even though my TTC days are over. I am sticking around to help those to whom are TTC. I hope that my experiences help them through continue to fight for their dream of having a family
