Hello Ladies. Sorry I've been MIA, but this journey is killing me slowly! My Dr. doesn't understand why I haven't gotten another BFP in three years despite having only one short tube. He says my cycles are perfect. He wants to do LAP on me just to be skure there are no adhesions that could keep the little eggie from getting in. I want to have it done, but it's so close to the holidays that I'm a little hesitant to have any kind of surgery even if it is minor. I will be CD 1 today. I'm spotting. I hold out hope each and every month even though AF always shows. I just feel deep down inside that one of these months she's not gonna show. I just have to be patient...... :)

Hi ladies, I also wish I would have skipped TR, but my insurance paid for most of it so I thought it was worth a shot. I really thought it would work. My insurance also pays for for fertility testing but no ART, but with all of the testing and surgeries (laps, hsg's) etc they could have easily paid for 3 IVF's by now and I doubt I would have needed that many. Being a TR girl sucks and being a one tuber sucks, but it is what it is and I sure hope this IUI/injectables works because I don't know if we'll ever be able to do IVF =(

Yes, Katie I am here too! where ever I see the Tubal Reversal word I chime right in! I just feel bad that it hasnt happened yet for some. I am trying to stay prayerful and positive, but I am just waiting now!!

Marlena.. So u didnt have the TR? I think that I shouldnt have done it also and just went straight to IVF. By now I know that I would have had a baby. But I figured that I might have wanted more then 1 so that is why we did it.LOL!

AFM.. Im doing IVF this month when AF stops acting stupid. LOL! I have been spotting and bleeding since 11DPO but yet no full flow. UHH! I have had brown bleeding and then red bleeding. There has been enough for a pad but not enough to fill it up. GRR! This is the most weirdest AF that I have ever had in my life. I just wish she would come on so I can start my BCP's and move on to the IVF. I will keep u ladies posted! If I dont have full flow by 2pm today then I will call the IVF nurse and see what she says. I would hate to miss it this month bc of this dang Af!!

It's funny you say that about the kids getting older. Mine are 17 and 14 and I sometimes wonder if I should just enjoy the fact that they are pretty dependent and don't rely on me for things except a decent dinner, roof over their heads, and clothes on their backs. I also wonder if my body is getting to old for another child. However, I do want one badly.

I think had I done the TR I would have ended up going through IVF anyway. And believe me, we're not made of money. So, if it doesn't work this time, we will not be forking out the thousands to try again. My husband says that we'll be happy no matter what happens, and I'd like to think that. I went into this mariage knowing he wanted a baby more than anything, and he went in knowing that it may not happen. So, we'll see!

That's why we opted for the TR also. I could have had a baby by now!! LOL I'm still paying off our wedding so maybe if we can get that done in the next 18 months then we'll go for it. We've talked about it, but I must admit as the kids get older it's also nice to have our freedom!! :)

Tryingfor6... Yes IVF is very expensive. I could have done the IVF back when I did the TR but I choose not too. I figured that i might want more then 1 baby so that is why i choose to do the TR instead of IVF but its looking like IVF is my option now so I have to save and wait until 2011 to do IVF but I will TTC until then.

IVF is SO expensive is the main reason we chose the TR. I was fertile myrtle before so I thought for sure I'd get PG quickly. I guess I did the first time as 7 months isn't long after the TR, but now it's been WAY too long and nothing since!

Marlena... I really think that I should have went with IVF instead of the TR to be honest. I feel in my heart that I would have had our miracle baby by now but I cant change the past. The RE did give me a 70-80% of conceiving after my TR and I did on my own after 3 failed IUI"s. It was a shock to us when I got my BFP but it saddly ended an a ectopic pregnancy and losing my right tube and a M/C 2 days later of the twin.

I hope that ur IVF goes well this round. I understand how u feel abotu wanting to give ur DH a child fo his own.Its never the same know matter how wonderful of a step dad they are.My DH has none of his own either and he is the most caring, loving supportive person in the world.

I just pray that 1 day we will get our miracle. Good luck to u and prayers !

After reading your story I'm glad I opted to skip the reversal and go straight for the IVF. I had an ectopic even before I had my tubal. That was 18 years ago, since then I have had 2 babies. One is now 17 and one is 14. However, you never know when you decide to have a tubal what life will bring. The kids dad and I divorced, and I found the man of my dreams. He doesn't have any children, and I would love to have a baby with him. He is a wonderful step dad.

We went to the RE to see about a reversal, and the RE talked me out of it. So, we opted for IVF. Although that didn't go so well on our first cycle, they cancelled it due to lack of follicles. So, we're on cycle number 2.

I'm extremely sorry for the pain you have had to undergo, and I am going to keep you in my prayers. Keep your head up, what's meant to be is what will happen!

Hello Katie. Clomid normally helps me O from both sides. Maybe you can talk to your RE about that! I'm 2dpo's and just trying to wait patiently! I know it's not gonna work!! LOL

Tubal Reversal and TTC for 3 years. Only one tube!

Hello everyone. I'm looking for someone to join me in my journey as it has been a long and painful one!! I had a tubal reversal in January 2006. I was told that both my tubes were short being only 3cm left and right. I had an HSG in March and July 2006. I was told that my left tube was blocked and right was open. I got a BFP the next cycle after the HSG in July on August 25, 2006. Sadly I had ovulated from my left side that was blocked and it was ectopic. I opted to have the pregnancy and my left tube removed since I had been told it was blocked. We have been trying ever since with no luck. I've done clomid many times from 06-07. I then did another HSG in August 07 and then decided since my tube still showed open to just try naturally until now. I just had yet another HSG on July 20, 2009. I was told that my left was closed (of course) since I had the surgery and then he said that my left did not flow either! I asked how can that be? He said sometimes they just get blocked..... I then begged him to do the HSG again while I was there. He said that he would try again. This time he got the tube to flow. I'm not sure if it was blocked and he unblocked it or if he just did it wrong. I am now on CD 12 and will go in for a trigger shot today at 4pm. I had a sono on CD 10 and was told that I had three follies on my right. One 18 and two 15's. My lining was only 5 though so the nurse wanted to give it time to thicken. I am hoping that with the HSG, the clomid and the trigger we are successful this cycle! Thanks for listening to my story!!
