yep 2wks is too early. At 6wks you can see the fetal pole and heartbeat via transvaginal ultrasound. Try not to worry and congrats!

Hi im so sorry about this, i was wondering if anyone has advice. i just found out i was preg with my first and then went to dr for my first prenatal visit they asked about my last cycle so the figured my due date is jan 25. but then they did a vag sonagram and there was nothing there she was like your real early kept saying that she was guessing i was about 2 weeks which seems to come up right to me but she mentioned tubal preg but didnt seem all that concerned is it to early to see anything at 2 weeks i read online alot of ppl are saying its to early to see anything you prob would about 6 weeks or so but her mentioning the tubal preg got me scared i am so happy im preg but so scared she wants me back on tues to check my levels and on friday for another sonagram. Anyone have any advice or suggestions or anything to tell me.

Hi Hzkgcz,

They are nice to have per my doctor following an etopic. I read all on the internet how bad it hurts and what really hurt in the anticipation of waiting!! It was like a normal Pap with a little pressure. Advice I can give you is please take some advil or something of that nature to ease the pain. It was really pain free for me... I pray all is well for you!!

I never had the hsg test done, which is another reason why I was so mad at my doctor. I can't do anything about it now but if she had checked before the second one maybe we could have prevented this. My new doctor is going to have me get this test done though once my levels are down to zero. Does it hurt?

I'm sorry to hear of your ectopic. You are lucky that they did catch it early enough. It does take some time for the methotrexate to work so keep that in mind. I too had the same thing and it took about 5 weeks. yes you're chances for future ectopics are higher. I did conceive again and am now 15 1/2 wks.

hzkgcz - I'm so sorry to hear of your second ectopic and that the doctor did not take care of you in a timely manner!!!! That is just horrible that you had to go through that again!!

you are both in my prayers and sorry to hear about your loss!

same ol' same ol'...just as soon as you get pregnant, get monitored closely with serial hCG to detect an ectopic, which we hope doesn't happen...

I went today to get the HSg test done and they said my tubes was clear following my etopic test on Nov 07. What should I look forward to as far as the next step I should take?

Wow... I will indeed do that. Did your doctor ever consider doing a HSG test to see if your tubes are blocked? I did that on Monday and it came back that everything was fine. Keep us lifted as we will do the same for you all.

I just wanted to say make sure when your trying again that your doctor monitor's you closely as my doctor didn't and blew my phone calls off, left me waiting for 40 min in pain, bleeing doubled over sweating and throwing up which put me in the hospital and if she had monitored me a long time before that I wouldn't of had to deal with all the extra pain. Good luck I'm so sorry... we have been trying for over a year and just had the second tubal. It's not fun, very discourging but have faith in God it will happen, stay positive.

I'm so sorry. I am going thru this painful time too. I had two tubal pregnancy's and having a hard time dealing with it. My second one was just two days ago.

There is very little that can be done...simply try to ttc again and hope that it's an intrauterine pregnancy is all that can be done...However, upon a positive hpt, let your doc know to watch you closely through serial hCG blood values because you're going to be high risk for another ectopic...which we hope you don't get...Wait a couple of months to ttc again as Methotrexate is a chemotherapeutic drug that we don't want in your body because it is very toxic to embryos...

Tubal Pregnancy

Hello,

My dh and I welcomed our first child together in Oct and the Friday after Thanksgiving I started to hurt and spot and went to the doctor and was told I had a tubal pregnancy. They gave me 2x's of Methrodox(spelling) and it terminated my pregnancy. Weekly the doctor check my hormone level until it gets to neg. right now it is like 80. What do you think I need to do next time to prevent this from happening before ttc again???
