Hello again, Dr. Quintero! ;-)

First of all, I want to share with you that I have been using the Fertilityfriend.com charting method, and their system before was telling me that I ovulated on CD 17 when I had a temperature spike (because of the sore throat), but the night prior to that spike, I just had a positive OPK, then still had a positive OPK on CD 17. So, when I asked you when I was ...

Oh I see. :-) The abdominal cramping is not painful...just feeling a little pressure, then with a lot of white pasty/creamy discharge. Thank you for the direct answer. Gotta wait for 10 to 11 more days so I can do a home pregnancy test. :-)

New comment from Dr. Q

Not necessarily dry, progesterone mucus is just not as runny as the ewcm that people talk about. Progesterone is a smooth muscle relaxant, so it should not cause cramping in that regard. At day 3, there could be many different reasons why you're having cramping in that area, but for the most part, not due to fertility issues. Sometimes though, when the follicle ruptures at ovulation when the egg is released, it bleeds a little and irritates your tummy for a few days, and this may be the best explanation of what is happening.

But what explains the early cramping and creamy CM? Shouldn't I be "dry" now? Is the cramping caused by the progesterone? Or is it something else?

New comment from Dr. Q

One thing to consider if you're feeling this emotional can be a diagnosis of Premenstrual Dysmorphic Disorder (something I always called a "high-tech" doc way of calling bad PMS :) This diagnosis requires that you keep a daily book of your symptoms and chart when they occur, which usually starts at ovulation and ends with your period for several months.

There are many treatments out there for this, and would advise you to start keeping a simple log and if there is a pattern, take it to your Ob/Gyn who can then Rx if necessary appropriate treatments to make you feel better

Some questions

Hello again, Dr. Quintero! ;-)

First of all, I want to share with you that I have been using the Fertilityfriend.com charting method, and their system before was telling me that I ovulated on CD 17 when I had a temperature spike (because of the sore throat), but the night prior to that spike, I just had a positive OPK, then still had a positive OPK on CD 17. So, when I asked you when I was supposed to ovulate, you said CD 19. I still continued to check my temperature every morning, though, just for record purposes. Then today when I entered my info, they told me that there was a correction in my chart (based on all the information that I have put in) and said that my ovulation day is now CD 19 and not CD 17. YOU ARE SO RIGHT ALL ALONG!! Thanks Doc! Here is my chart:

http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m308/joe_alexandra1110/BBT-1.jpg

On the other hand, I do have some questions. Since yesterday, I have been feeling some pressure/cramp-like feeling in my abdomen...a feeling like my period is going to come, then I've been getting whitish creamy CM that looks like a "lotion". It's weird because I'm only 3 DPO and don't you think it's too early to feel these signs? I have gotten sooooo emotional the past two days, I can cry easily over a MOVIE??? Then when my husband jokes around, I would shed a tear already and it's not like me. It's so weird...I would normally have these a few days before my period arrives. Are all these because of a rising progesterone? Why so early, though?

Thank you again for taking time to attend to my concern. You are God sent to all of us here. God bless you, Dr. Quintero! ;-)
