Hello all,

I got my positive OPK today, so I've left a message for my nurse to schedule me to come in for my Natural IUI. We're trying IUI first, due to male factor. I assume they'll have me come in first thing tomorrow morning for the IUI -- that's not too late, is it?

I've been staring at the phone all morning, waiting for the call -- wish me luck!!!

nope, no pregnancy with the IUI but we only did it twice with the injectables.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you get pregnant from IUI? I'm cautiously optimistic about our chances, understanding that the odds are probably against us...

Yeah, that will be good to see how his sperm washes and what kind of numbers you get.

My 1st IUI DH's "good sperm" was only 8 million and the next one his "good sperm" was 18.1 million. My Re says anything around 10 million is what they want to see - or over obviously. His regular sperm count was 48 million with his SA and i thought it was low but he said it was fine. I dont think so since he has a moprh of 1% so that would be pretty low. We have an appt at a urologist cuz i want to talk to them about it instead.

Taking a break from all this, maybe will go on some femera and go natural for awhile, we shall see. Just over all the monitoring thats for sure!!!

Lots luck coming your way!!!

Yup -- no meds, just rely on OPKs and come in for insemination. We did natural this time because I'm sort of nervous about the fertility drugs (side effects, and OHSS freaks me out), and because we wanted to see how DH's sperm responds to washing.

I can't wait! will keep you posted...

How are you?

thats great! Cant wait to hear about it and how well everything went!!! Is a "natural IUI" when you dont take any meds just go in and have the sperm washing and injected past the cervix?

Hi Christine, That sounds just right. Most likely you should go 1st thing tomorrow because once you get the +OPK it takes most people about 36 hours to ovulate after the actual surge. Sending you lots of *BABY DUST*
