If I lay down a lot of times I can see where her head is but not normally her whole outline. It is so cool though.

I have to say that sometimes when she moves it does hurt a little bit.

Went to the drs yesterday and my BP was better. Baby is doing great. I have to go back on Tuesday just to make sure that it is not a fluke. Hopefully things will still be good.

Have a baby shower at my in-laws this afternoon. Totally excited!!!

I am very emotional today and I am not sure what to do about it.

Hey Ladies, HVF I am happy to see that you are back. Happy 33 Weeks.

My swelling was worse yesterday I took my blood pressure and it was high. I drank a lot of water and my DH message my feet I think that helped. This morning the swelling went done and so did my BP. I have my appointment on Tuesday so I will tell my Dr then If it gets worse I will call the Dr office.

Holly we started our classes last night. It was fun. The couples are of all ages. We do have one couple that is in high school.

The video they showed looked like something right out of the 80's. Glad to hear the your boss is being nice about everything.

I am home today trying to get stuff done. Have a great Friday

How is everyone today? Its a slow work day today:) Yay! I have to lecture in every class, but classes are only 1/2 hr long and I am sending them outside to find a rock for 5-10 min of each class - so it should be fairly quiet.

Then Spring break next week!!! Whohooo!!!!!!! I am thinking the week after will be my last week of school. That means only 5 more days of school!!!! I will find out for sure March 31st if the dr. will write me out or not. We'll see. I think he will though. I am hoping he will.

I started packing my hospital bag last night. I also got her diaper bag packed (not for the hopspital, but for afterwards). I was only packing for about 20 min and i started hurting really bad. I had to stop. I guess the Dr. is right and I need to stay off my feet as much as possible. Booooo.

Oh, anyone started losing their Mucus plug yet? I dont think I have, but I have definitely had more mucus discharge - it made me wonder. I can't believe that we could potentially have our little ones in 3 weeks!! CRAZY!

I knw that he is head down with his back to my left side. I notice that when he moves It goes hard on one side and my belly kinda goes into a point. But I still can't tell when is what.

Just a quick question. Can you ladies tell exactly where your baby is located? Its almost like I can see her outline. If I put my hands on my tummy I can feel exactly where she is at. Its SUPER hard where she is laying and it even sticks out a little. Do you ladies experience that too?

We started our childbirth classes last night and they are ok. Time went by quick. BUT I feel OLD! There were probably 15 couples there and of the 15 I think all but two of us were in high school! Its crazy!!!

I swear some of these kids looked like they were about 13 years old. Annoying.

They talked about pre-term labor and i had to laugh. They gave us 7 signs to look for and of the 7 I think I have 4 of them! But Dr checked everything out and its all good. So I am not that worried.

Thanks hvf - I will take it easy for sure!! There is just so much to get done!!!

I talked to my principal and she is more than accomodating which is really nice. I am kind of hoping though that the Dr. writes me out of work earlier so I can get things done. By the time I get home I am too exhausted to do anything else.

Jessica -yes, I would definitely call your dr and tell him. Swelling is nothing to play around with. Especially if its really bad. You might want to get your blood pressure checked too just in case. You can usually go to any drug store and they have a machine there that will check it. they aren't overally accurate, but it will at least give you an idea. My bp has been consistently about 114/64 at every appt. I checked it at Walmart the other day and it was 174/80 - so it checked high - but it can give you an idea.

Mystic -Be careful with the swelling. My started out that way and now I am having complications. Make sure you bring this up to your doctor. This is not something to shrug off. I hope that it is nothing major with you.

Thanks for the info Emma, My birthing classes start tonight. I am wondering if they will mention it.

Holly cow I have a huge swelling problem going on. My ankles are the size of my thighs. I am a little nervous, but I think its because I did not have enough water on Tuesday. SO today I am going to try to drink a lot and hopefully they will go down. Anybody else have swollen ankles. They also hurt.

I don't really know to be honest. All I know is you must meet the hospital requirements which are :

Full term pregnancy between 37-42 weeks

Healthy woman with no known medical conditions

Singleton pregnancy (only one baby)

Uncomplicated current pregnancy

No previous pregnancy or birth complications

Baby in head down position

Spontaneous onset of labour

You can only have certain type of pain relief:

Massage

Breathing / relaxation techniques

Water (hydrotherapy)

Mobilisation

TENS machine

Hypnotherapy will be supported

Entonox (gas and air)

Pethidine injection

When I mentioned to the Midwife that I was thinking about a water birth she didn't really say much. As far as I know if a pool is free (there are only 3 in my hospital) you can use it. You just need to tell them you would like to use the pool before you come in so they can get it ready for you. In the 3 rooms there is a pool, birthing balls, mood lighting, sofa, and a bed.

I'm going to ask more about it at my next app. So i will let you know. Sorry I wern't much help.

Holly, sorry you're being restricted on the stairs, but hopefully it will help with the pain.

Emma, glad to hear your BIL doesn't have shingles after all.

Jessica, I read "The Water Birth Book" on loan from my midwife. It was really good and explained everything you would need to know about using water in labor. If you are birthing in a hospital the first thing you'll need to do is find out if they have the facilities and trained staff for water birth. The warm water is great for pain relief during the hard part of labor. It's not recommended before 5cm, or it could slow the labor down too much.

DH just informed me that my BIL does not have shingles its just a rash, so its all good.

I can kinda relate to that pain Holly. I get it when I walk for a while it feels like a sharp shooting pain in my cervix I had it earlier when I went across the road to get lunch, it took my breath away.
