:::;VENT ALERT:::: I am Sooooo angry right now.. My RE's nurse mixed me up with another pt. 2 months ago and nearly had me go for surgery as a mistaken identity.. I let that slide.

Tommorow, as most of you know, is my Beta. I have had 3 failed IUI's and NEVER (NEVER) made it to Beta day. Thus, this is VERY exciting to make it. I intentionally planned my Post cycle appt. for 3:15 hoping I could find out the results at that time and decide with them what's next (pos or neg). They had to reschedule the follow up to this past Wed. So needless to say it felt weird making plans for #2 IVF when I was still very much in Cycle 1. But whatever, right?

I did however make it clear that I wanted this 2ww and my beta day, and I want to use ALL my energy and focus on positive. Well, Nurse again, with her negativity and giving us wrong information on Wed. drove me up a tree. Again, I let it roll off my back.

Today, I am sitting with a patient (I am a psychotherapist and they know to call me ONLY in an emergency, otherwise call DH) and phone rings.. it's the clinic on my cell called ID, so I ask my patient to excuse me and I take the call. 2 guesses who it is! NURSE!

What could be the emergency? I answer. She wants a decision on whether we want to do assisted hatching for cycle 2. I tell her, I do not need to make this decision here and now, and reiterate, let me get to and through my Beta and this might be a non-issue. So thinking she get's it.. But NOOOOO.. She say's "Oh I see your beta is tommorow, lets add on your STD testing for cycle 2".. ARE YOU BRAIN DEAD NURSE?????? is what I thought. I thank God my patient was there so I had to be calm. AGAIN, I tell her, let me get through number one. LET ME HAVE MY DAY, MY BETA DAY, THE ONE I HAVE WAITED 20 YEARS TO HAVE!!!!!.

Am I overreacting, is this hormones?? I see it as the 2WW is hard enough, on the day before my Beta to plan for failure by planning the next cycle . This could ALL have waited until Friday or Monday.. I feel like it was so totally insensitive, but from the very people who SHOULD understand the torture of a 2WW and the sensitivity of these issues.

I am heated, and trying to let it go.. but I needed to vent.. I am now going to copy and paste this in an email to the doc and ask that we never have to deal with this nurse again.

My husband and I have been together for 9 years now but married 3 1/2. We started to know something was wrong when I went off the pill and gained 50lbs. Yup, you guessed diagnosed with PCOS. Well, when we found that out we started family planing because we knew it would take awhile and we have always wanted children. We then started clomid for about a year, then 3 failed iui's, and now we are on our first ivf and hopefully last. We just went through the egg retrevial March 20th. We had 34 eggs but 13 good ones and 7 fertile. We go tomorrow to get the best 2 transfered. I am really excited and nervous. This is our journey so far.WE TRANSFERED 2 4AA EGGS TODAY !
