New comments on 'Itching and hormones?'

I've been itchy ALL OVER for like a week.. it started with just my back... then moved to my tummy, then my butt (LOL), and hips and thighs, now my face, fingers, tops of my ears, and the tops of my feet and toes!!!

I'm wondering if this could maybe be hormonally related? Or maybe an anxiety thing? It seems to get worse when I feel stressed...

I am not sure what to do about it.. its NOT dr...

New comment from Dr. Q

This is not related to pregnancy or post-delivery, as the post delivery period is up until the 49th after child birth...

This is unfortunately an itch that like you saw, could be caused by over a hundred different things (and diagnosing itching is not a forte of mine:( Best to see a doc to get an opinion

New comment from Dr. Eva Littman

I am not sure if you are pregnant or going through fertility therapy but if you are pregnant, this may just be a side effect of the increasing blood volume of pregnancy so I would take some benadryl 50 mg at night and see if that helps... if you are going through fertility therapy, the itchiness may be related to an inactive ingredient in one of the drugs so I would see if your Dr. can switch your medication.

New comment from Unsubscribed

Hi Meghan my heart goes out to you...however icthy skin could be caused by over 100 things. Sometimes I do get it esp in the winter time and I have done oatmeal baths and drinking more water and no caffiene. But if it gets really bad going to your dr would be best esp if you are itching the way you are. Keep me posted! Most likely it's a simple thing.

New comment from Meghan, Mommy of 2

I just found out a kidney infection can cause this. Is it possible I have a kidney infection with no symptoms? I had several UTI's during the pregnancy with no symptoms other than contractions?
