New comment from Dr. Q

Hi Helen,

Femara, a breast cancer pill that we use to stimulate follicular growth, usually only creates 1 follicle. Don't get discouraged, however, as these follicles have a better pregnancy rate than if no Femara was used.

Most people usually get pregnant during the first 3 attempts, with minor gains upto 6 tries, and no benefit thereafter. So your answer is yes, you still have a chance. If you don't get pregnant soon, you should reconsider either combining the Femara with an IUI and/or supplementing with injectable gonadotropins.

Helen, another thing to consider is that since you've lost two pregnancies without a live birth, I'm assuming, then you should have a recurrent miscarriage work-up by your Ob or better yet RE to make sure there isn't any other factor hindering your ability to get and/or maintain a pregnancy
