Well.... no she isn't doing much better LOL I guess a little better maybe

She will fall asleep and then she wakes up around 3:00-4:00 am and I get her out and put her in bed with me b/c Im too tired to deal with it then LOL

AWWWW chrissy. This is the 1'st time i seen this post. Ava is a DOLL!!! I really dunno what u could do on the sleeping in her own bed bit tho. I never had that problem. hmmmm i really hope she just grows out of it hun.

Chrissy she is SO cute....

I know how hard it is!at the begging of summer I made a post to about Carleigh who I could not get to sleep and she was 5 almost 6 then...

I hug her and read to her and she loves to have her head rubbed I sit with her till she fell asleep now I do all that still but I say ok hun mommy is going to do a few things I'll be back to hug and kiss you..and when I come back she is always asleep!

It is SO hard..being a mommy listening if they cry..the one thing I have learnt to do with this baby (when she comes) is t start from day one in her crib..lots of love and hus of course but it was SOOOOOO hard getting carleigh to sleep on her own I could not go through it again..

good luck try a few things the other ladies said..

OMG Chrissy..she is so stinkin cute!!! Boy oh boy does she know how to "play" her mama!!! lmao :)) Her crib is in your room???? Okay, I won't give you a hard time on that one..LOL, but now you have to commit to getting her to sleep in the crib, even if you pull it close to your side of the bed for a few nights and then slowly every night inch it away until it's back in it's original place. You're too funny Chrissy, Super Nanny would have a field day with you!!! LOL :)))

You always have the best advice! I think a lot of her problem also is she was B/F until 12 mos and I never nursed my other children that long so to this day at night she likes to sleep with her hand down my shirt. LOL

Okay, I love this question cause I had the most fussy kid ever when it came to bed time. My daughter, now almost 14yrs old was the biggest PAIN! I rocked her for hours on end, played a tape of music, had fun night lights, you name it, I tried it. SO I totally know where you're comin from :)

Okay, now, it's not going to be easy to break her of this (and shame on you Chrissy...no kids in the big bed!! lmao!!!!) (((hugs)))

So, you're gonna start talking about bed time during the day, you're gonna take her in there and show her how comfy and awesome her crib is, you can even have your other kids climb in it and lay down and show her how wonderful it is!! Then you're gonna take her to the store and let her buy her own bedtime friend to sleep with, a cuddly stuffed animal that she picks herself and make sure you keep saying how it is going to be her bedtime friend. When you get home from the store take her to her crib and have her put her bedtime friend to bed and explain that it will be there waiting for her when it's her bed time.

Do your normal bedtime routine and then put her in her crib and stand there saying night night time honey and rub or pat her little back. She may cry, but do not pick her up. Wait 3 minutes, continue to rub or pat her back. After 3 min of crying pick her up for no more than 1 min and calm her down, lay her back down and rub or pat her back again, another 3 min. After 3 more min, do not pick her up but speak to her and say it's okay honey, mommy is here but it's night night time and tomorrow when you wake up we'll have more fun, but now it's sleepy time and I love you...continue to rub and pat her back while talking to her. Now you take 3 giant steps back and wait 6 min, if still crying you repeat the same thing you just said, rub or pat her back no more than 1 min. Go back to where you were standing and sit down so she can see you. You remain seated and you do not look at her or talk to her anymore. She may cry half hour or two hours, and it's gonna suck big time, but remember you're there with her in the room and she can see you. Once she's asleep you'll leave the room. Now over the next three nights you'll move yourself back another 3 giant steps and have a seat until you're sitting in the doorway, then out in the hallway. If she's real stubborn it could take a whole week, but I promise you, this works. I hate hearing my kids cry, even my older ones who are teens now and I'm not trying to sound mean with what my suggestions are but I know it works. I had to do this with my daughter when she was 4yrs old and kept getting out of her bed to come sit with me on the chair, and that was really hard, I had to keep putting her back in her bed. But after 3 nights she didn't get out of her bed.

This will prob be a very hard thing for you, if you're like me with hating to hear her cry but she will be okay and she'll still love her mommy to bits!!! Good luck :)

Fran, I have only been at it for like a week, but it's proving to be very hard with her! My other kids took a little time ,but they NEVER took it as bad as she is. She is very stubborn about EVERYTHING LOL She seems to think the world revolves around her little butt... she is just very spoiled! I would be fine to keep her in the bed but daddy says he has had enough!

Oh Chrissy I can even imagine how you feel. Caden cries a little and I'm there trying to make him happy! Yes he is spoiled! LOL! How long have you been working on this and how long did it take your other kids? She she stubborn with other stuff too? Maybe she is just super headstrong and it is going to take much longer than you other ones. Hugs to you and good luck. I wish I had an answer for you.

Okay I know I have 5 kids,but none of them were ever as hard to put in their own bed as little Miss Ava!She is now 18 mos old and has co-slept with me all of her life (all of my kids did until this age ) but I cannot break her of it! She sreams,starts coughing,almost throws up! I have tried waiting it out and she wont go to sleep. I have tried getting her to sleep first and then putting her to bed and she ALWAYS wakes up.. if not right away within an hour. Any advice??? I mean look at her... I can't make her keep crying she is too cute and sweet LOL
