HI Amber,

digital ones are definately easier to read, but don't know if they're much more accurate, and 12dpo is the earliest it'll turn up positive (and that's if you really know that you ovulated with an OPK).

Is one HPT more accurate of can detect sooner? I heard that the digital ones are a lot better than the solid pink lines?... Also if you can detect if you are prego 12 days after you ovulate, wouldn't I sertainly test positive by now? Sorry to keep bugging you, it's just this site is new to me, and it's great to have answers at your fingertips!

The earliest it can be detected by an hpt is 12dpo. Hang in there Amber, we know it's a tough and stressful time, and hopefully soon enough, your hpt will turn positive within the next few days...

I tried going to the Dr. today but they said that I needed to wait until day 35 at least. I'm irritated because I want this so bad it hurts. I heard that you won't show positive on a HPT until at least 3 weeks after you ovulate, is this true? Why would it not work? Thank you for your fast reply!

I am seriously confused!! I took Provera for 10 days and started my period 3 days later. I took Femera on days 3-7, and took an ovulation test to know that I ovulated on day 14 as planned. I'm now on day 31. I have taken several HPT's for the hope that it will be positive, but they have all came back negative. I was told to wait until day 35 to make sure I'm not pregant, but the wierd thing is, I have few symtoms of PMS but no period. What are my chances of being pregnant? And why would I not be if everything happened like it was supossed to? HELP!!

If you're RE was confident you ovulated, you wouldn't be expected to get your period until CD43 (14days after ovulation). Everything looks ok so far and would hang in there, check your hpt tomorrow again and see what it shows
