Thanks ladies! I assume that I will get some Preseed then to see what happens. I have heard of the mucinex but Im not to sure about that.

Katie- the preseed should work...I think (of course I didn't have the test) that I have "hostile" mucus. At least I just don't have any on clomid! The preseed definitely helped. You said it just made you feel wet- that's what you need! You just need thin enough cm for the sperm to travel in! Also, mucinex thins it (but it gave me a rash, which is super sexy when ttc! ha!). I also read that you can eat baby carrots?? I don't know why, but i tried it anyway!

Hi Katie...i had the post coital test done and was found to have hostile mucus (only one live sperm) after 4 cycles of IUI, my RE suggested a LAP cuz my mom had endo. She removed stage 11 endo and 1 week after my surgery she told us to try as I had a 23mm follicle about to ovulate. We used preeseed and lo and behold I am 7 weeks 5 days prego au naturale. I don't know if it was the preseed or having the endo removed but something worked for us. I thought that after the surgery i would have to go back to the IUI's b/c of the hostile cm but we didn't have to and I'm soooo happy we did it on our own!!! Good Luck Katie!

Katie- yes thats what I believe DR Q is saysing, and alot of RE's do not do it.. I asked mine to have it done and she said we would just by pass that and go right to IUI. then there is no issue with hostile CM

I agree about the Robatussin and pre-seed. Also, make sure you are drinking a ton of water!!!!

katie- here is a response to that question of hostile CM,...dated back in January

"Yep, let me also add to this in that the clinical relevance to performing this exam is questionable at best. Many REs have abandoned this practice as for the most part it's has a poor diagnostic criteria, and treatment is also easily done with an IUI..

The test is basically performed by you having BD during your fertile days, you arrive at your doc's office, the doc gets some of the cervical mucus which contains sperm and simply looks at them under the microscope...What constitutes an abnormal test? Clearly if there's nothing moving, and the semen analysis was normal...then there's a problem but this is very rare...anything in between this...well up to almost anyone to determine what an "abnormal" test would wind up being..."

Katie its called the Post Coital test.. you would have sex then go straight to the RE or OB..if they do it, and the Doc takes a swab from your vagina and looks to see if there are sperm swimming there...

Not sure if there is a way to test your CM to see if it is or not. KEM is right make sure you don't get the kind that dries you up...the regular is what you need.

Katie it has to be regular Robatussin with no initial behind it. That kind has the opposite effect!

I was wondering if there was something that I could take to increase my CM. I have some but I think I want to increase it to see if that will help me with TTC? Also, is there a test that the doc can do to see if ur CM is hostile or not? How do u know if ur CM is hostile? Will that keep u from conceiving if ur CM is hostile?
