Hi Erin. I haven't been on in a couple of days and I thought for sure that you would be in the hospital. So sorry to hear that you still have not had her. I would have thought the same thing as you did about your water breaking! What did your Dr. say? Did she have some explination of the fluid rushing out?

It seriously is getting to the point that I feel like I am never going to have this baby. I am tired, frustrated and just so ready to meet my daughter. I never doubted for even a second this morning that what happened was my water breaking...it was the gush I expected...so when the doc said it wasnt my water, I was in shock. I still am actually! What Dr. Q said about fluid/mucous buildup overnight kinda makes sense, except that I was up at least 4 times during the night to pee - then I was up at 7am (got up and decided I wanted more sleep) - so I went back to bed until 9am which is when it happened - I dont get why if it was really just an accumulation of stuff from overnight it didnt come out one of the other times I got out of bed....its just all unbelieveable to me. At any rate, here I am, still waiting....

Aww Erin im soo sorry it wasnt your water breaking. I would have thought the exact same thing.

She is on her way thats for sure, and hoping that was something to indicate that she will be here by the weekend!

Thanks Dr. Q. I feel terrible doubt my doctor, but it just seems so strange to me. What a terrible let down. Oh well. Will head back to the doctor if leaking becomes constant.

This does happen on occasion, build up over the night of mucus/fluid and then it can gush out...The tests performed were completely appropriate and reassuring that your water bag hasn't broken...

However, if there's still a constant gush throughout the day, best to have your water bag rechecked again

Dr Q. and Ladies - water breaking, false alarm

So, I woke uop this morning to a slight feeling of wetness down there, when I stood up liquid gushed out, through my pantiliner, underwear and pants...I went to the bathroom and it continuted to leak consistantly for maybe 15 more seconds. It was clear, almost odorless, and there was a bit of mucous in it (I suspect semen as DH and I had sex last night) - anyway, I was sure my water had broken. I called the doc and they had me come in. She did 2 tests, one where she used a swab and it was supposed to turn blue if it was my membranes, it did not. She looked at it under a microscope and it did not fern. She then did an internal and said she felt the membranes in tact still. HOw can that be??? What the heck came pouring out of me?? I am almost 100% sure it wasnt urine, as it was colorless and almost odorless, no pee smell at all. I am still leaking a little, but not constant, and I know it could just be pee or whatever....but I just dont get it. Is there anyway that the doctor may be wrong???
