Hey sbf, mine, the CRL was 8 mm @ 7 W 2 D with a heart rate of 139. So, u are pretty good. Also, the heart is so immature and not well developed at this stage, so the heart rate keeps varying which is perfectly normal. If she took it thrice, all 3 times can be different.

Heart Rate info:

We evaluated sonograms of singleton pregnancies at 6 to 8 weeks to determine the relationship between heart rate and first trimester outcome in four gestational age subgroups: < or = 6.2, 6.3-7.0, 7.1-7.5, and 7.6-8.0 weeks. Below 6.2 weeks, prognosis improved as heart rate increased to 100 beats per minute, then plateaued for rates > or = 100 beats per minute. At 6.3-7.0 weeks, prognosis improved up to 120 beats per minute, then plateaued. Heart rate norms could not be established at 7.1-8.0 weeks because of the small number of embryonic or fetal deaths in this age group; however, all embryos with heart rates below 110 beats per minute at 7.1-8.0 weeks died. We conclude that the lower limit of normal is 100 beats per minute up to 6.2 weeks' gestation and 120 bpm at 6.3-7.0 weeks

SBF,

I found this: The hand plates become present this week, and the baby is about 7-9 mm CRL by the end of the week. The genital tubercle is present, but you can't distinguish girls from boys by sight at this point. Nasal pits are forming.

Your baby will actually go through 3 sets of kidneys, very rapidly as they develop during this period. This week the second of such sets will form. So you sound good to me!

CRL and Heartbeat

Dr. Q,

I had follow-up u/s today and we heard the heartbeat, it was 126, I am 7 weeks today. Isnt that kinda low for 7 weeks most people are in the 130-160 range. Also at the bottom it had CRL - 0.91cm...Most peoples are in mm. Is the CRL a good number for 7 weeks...Im so confused
