New comment from Dr. Q

Other's are free to chime in on BBTs as we docs don't read these...

If one is on Progesterone supplementation, then no need to continue checking BBTs after confirmed ovulation

Could it be possible my Progesterone levels are to low?

Hello, my last cycle I got a BFP at 12dpo, only to find out my HCG levels weren't doubling and I miscarried at 5wks. I was wondering if my progesterone levels could be low and that would be part of my problem. Last month was my first cycle on Femara I had used Clomid 3 months prior, with no success. I have a 1 year old son I concieved naturally the first try, and when I found out I was preg. with him I was immediatly put on Progesterone suppliment because they said my levels were a little low. I have been charting BBT and this is what my chart looked like this past cycle.

CD1-97.2

cd2- 96.5

cd3-96.5 (start femara)

cd4-96.8

cd5-96.55

cd6-96.55

cd7-96.5 (end femara)

cd8-96.5

cd9-96.5 (low fertility montior reading

cd10- 96.5 (FM low reading)

cd11- 96.7 (fm low reading)

cd12- 96.6 (fm low reading)

cd13-96.46 (fm low reading)

cd14-96.5 (fm low reading)

cd15-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd16-97.0 (fm high reading)

cd17-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd18- 96.5 (fm high reading)

cd19-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd20-97.0 (fm peak reading)

cd21-97.5 (fm peak reading, 1dpo)

cd22-97.5 (fm high reading 2dpo)

cd23-97.47 (fm low reading 3dpo)

cd24-97.6 4dpo

cd25-97.4 5dpo

cd26- 97.72 6dpo

cd27- 97.75 7dpo

cd28-97.7 8dpo

cd29- 97.33 9dpo

cd30- 97.77 10dpo

cd31- 97.77 11dpo

cd32- 97.57 12dpo (positive hpt)

cd33-n/a

cd34-97.93 14dpo (started a progesterone suppliment the night before because blood test showed progesterone level of 10)

cd35- 97.92 15dpo

cd36-n/a 16dpo

cd37-n/a got next blood results back hcg only went up to 31.5 from 23 believe I will miscarry

cd38-spotting (miscarriage)

I have a apt. with my OB on the 19th, and I am going to show her my chart as well, but I read if your temps. don't go significantly higher than your coverline after ovulation you could have a problem with low progesterone. What do you think? Fertility friend stated my coverline was at 97.32
