    <title>New comments on 'Coming off birth control??'</title>
    <link>http://www.fertilityties.com/post/show/coming-off-birth-control</link>
    <description>I'm coming off the birth control Yasmin in the beginning of October. My fiance know the chances of pregnancy is there but we still will use a condom but if it happens it happens. I was wondering what the proper way would be to come off it. Or what to expect as some side effects for not being on it anymore. I have been on it for 5+ years.</description>

      <title>New comment from Dr. Q</title>
      <description>&lt;div&gt;There is only a small delay in fertility (if any) when coming off the pill.  For all intensive purposes...be ready because you can ovulate the 1st month off the pill.  You can simply take the last pill of the pack, and that's pretty much it regardless of how long you've been on them.  There is no need for tapering off.  Common side effects are simply those of being ovulatory, and you can search this site for ewcm, progesterone, breast tenderness and you'll see that there are many normal symptoms a woman undergoes when ovulating.&lt;/div&gt;
