Dr. Q and ladies
I have noticed the past few months my cycles are getting very long (ever since I started working out at the gym 3-4 days a week)...last month was a 49 day cycle with ovulation on CD37. This month I am on CD21 with no ovulation yet but I'm sure it will happen soon (hopefully)
I had bloodwork done throughout the month of May and all hormone levels were fine. Right after that...

Suzi as of next month I am no longer worrying about what will affect TTC...first step Aug. 15 I am going white water rafting LOL. I am tired of living my life around the thought of "what if this is the month"

Ooooh I could do with toning up big time!!! I just need the energy and the motivation to do it. I keep putting it off in case this is the month that I fall pregnant......need to stop using that as an excuse to do things!!!!

Thanks Suzi! I am exercising pretty hard but I am not pushing myself by any means. Before I did not exercise whatsoever...I am thinking maybe my body went into shock with all the exercising. I am mainly trying to tone up and get back into shape.

Hi Laura, my cycles were between 32 and 37 days prior to clomid. Clomid shortened them to between 28 - 33 days. I don't know about the exercising sorry, I would imagine that it wouldn't unless you are pushing yourself very hard on a regular basis. xx

New comment from Dr. Q

When cycles are this long, clomid should actually shorten your cycles...when one's cycles are within normal range like jenstar, minor delays and and or shortening can occur

Right after that I started working out at the gym to get more toned up and to feel better, not to lose weight. Could me working out like that cause my cycles to be a little messed up? My body fat hasn't dropped that much (it didn't need to, I am around 26-27% BMI)

Would the Clomid shorten my cycles if I started taking it?...I plan on asking my OBGYN about it in Dec. at my regular appt.
