I have been ttc for two years and have had two miscarriages.. one blighted ovum and one chemical pregnancy.
My tsh is around 2 so it's ok but my antithyroid antibody count is off the chart. I see a reproductive endocrinologist who is not concerned about the antibodies (he said that's just proof it is hashimoto's but won't effect fertility) but every thing i read says different.

have you o...

thank you Meghan, yes I see a reproductive endocrinologist... my hashimoto's was brought on by pregnancy with my daughter so I know how hard it is getting tsh back in norm level after birth.

thanks again!

New comment from Meghan

I just found out I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I had a very hard time ttc... I got pregnant 2 times and miscarried, then eventually took clomid and premarin and conceived the first month. My baby is now 4 months old. I don't know how much the hashimoto's affected my ttc journey, however, it's made me feel pretty crappy since i've given birth.. i just found out that is what was making me sick though. make sure you have a good endocrinologist to help you through the post partum period

New comment from madeline

My sister's sister in law has Hashimoto's. She had 2 early miscarriages. She started to see a naturopath and an acupuncturist... and then carried a healthy baby boy to term. She swears it's what worked for her!

New comment from Dr. Q

Yes,

Many people with Hashimoto's disease get pregnant and deliver so long as their TSH levels are under control with or without medications
