If its a qualitative, then u cud have had some HCG but that was not enough by that lab to be classified as pregnancy. So, instead of the HCG maintaining the progesterone level, the supplements do. Its the HCG that sends a feedback signal to the ovaries to produce progesterone during pregnancy. Life isn't fair. I just wanted to share with you that one of my good friends has bleeding early in her pregnancy..im not talking spotting, she was bleeding red blood. She went in for 2 betas and her numbers went up but did not double. SHe went back for another and her numbers again went up, but not as high as the doc would have liked...anyway, fianlly the beta jumped and her doc was satisfied...and now she has a gorgeous baby girl. Your scenario isnt all that uncommon...hoping that you get the happy ending you deserve.
