Keller- I was thinking about you all day yesterday- your report came in after I had already left for home from work.

Im so glad the report came back improved from last week ;) Im so so glad! And hey now you have a clean house to wake up in ;)

Rest and take it easy today- and just let little Jake bake a little longer ;)

Maria, i'm SO sorry for all the worrying you've been going through but SO happy that everything is ok and that you don't have to be induced. my sis had the same problem w/ the abnormal cells, but like fran, she had the LEEP and was monitored for a few years thereafter and everything was fine.

how are you feeling lately? i can't believe how soon you'll have your little baby boy in your arms.

how do you have the energy to clean??? i can't clean for more than 30 minutes at a time or i get really bad cramping. :-(

are you going through the nesting phase right now? i have yet to have it.

So happy you are doing well.

Hi Girls!

I just got back from the doctor. She did the coposcopy and she said the cells do not look too bad and she said that whether I have the baby this week or in 3 weeks it wouldnt matter because the cells do not look all that bad. So I dont have to be induced! I am actually very relieved and was happy that the results of the cells also came back better than I had thought!

Man I was cleaning, doing laundry, vacuuming because I thought I would have to be induced! My house is spic and span now! lol! Thanks so much for all of your support:)

Aww Maria I think if little Jake comes soon he will be just fine, especially if he is around 7lbs already. I cant wait, and please keep us posted, im sure all will be ok sweetie, and if having to be induced I have no fear that everything will be fine with him and you :)

Not much longer, I cant believe it :)

Thanks so much Fran! The doctor did estime him being around 9 lbs if I go all the way till term! But all my husbands relatives have these massive 9,10 and 11 lb babies! Ouch is all I have to say about that! Thanks again for everything!

Aww how funny! My doctor said our baby is on the bigger side also. Everyone on my husbands side of the family has massive babies! She is guessing right now he is about 7 lbs. It's so crazy that I might be meeting my little boy soon!

I know! LOL..funny thing we just had an u/s at 34 wks and they said.."umm he's measuring big" and I'm like, ok..induce me if we go over then!!! :)

No I dont think he will be going to the Bahamas after all! We'll see though! How much did your son weigh when he was born at 35 weeks? Sorry for all the questions! When I found out yesterday that the reason they are doing this coposcopy was to see if they needed to induce me I was rather shocked!

The good thing is that our room in the hospital has wireless internet so I can maybe chat with you girls while I am laboring?!

Wow, Keller! What news. Don't worry, his lungs are mature..and they can even do a u/s test to check to see if he's taking practice breaths. That's what they did for me when I went in labor at wk 35.

So I'm guessing your dh is not going to the Bahamas??

I have been a cleaning maching all morning. I just got his diaper bag together and I'm finishing up some laundry. We just had our car seats installed last week... thank god! The car seat went great in my husbands car but the darn thing wouldnt get level in my car! It took the fire department about an hour to get the seat level! 36w6d Pregnant Question!!

Hi Dr.Q and Ladies,

I have a question for all you. It's gonna be a long one so I apologize!

Anyways, back when I was 11 weeks pregnant I had a pap smear done at my 1st prenatal appointment and the result came back high grade abnormal. My doctor then scheduled me for a coposcopy. She didnt biopsy anything she just did a vinegar wash on my cervix to look at the cells. Which at that time she said were still abnormal. I was about 17 weeks pregnant at this coposcopy.

She then said not to worry and she would do a follow up pap smear in August. She said sometimes pregnancy can cause abnornmal cells on the cervix and it could possibbly be all the hormones making the cells come up abnormal.

So I just had another pap smear done in Augst at 33 weeks pregnant. I got the resukts back last week and they came back high grade abnormal again. The nurse called me and said they need to do another coposcopy. So I have another coposcopy scheduled for 1:30 today. I ended up going to the doctor yesterday because of increased swelling in my feet and ankles and I asked why I need another coposcopy and if it's safe this far along in pregnancy (I am 36w6d today). She said if the does the coposcopy and the cells are still abnormal they will have to induce labor this week. Does this sound like a normal procedure for someone who has high grade abnormal cells? I completely trust my doctor but I had not heard of being induced until just yesterday. Also, will my baby be ok being delivered between 37-38 weeks? I'm worried a little about his lung development. Ohh and what does high grade abnormal cells mean? Does this mean it's cancer or very close to becoming cancer? My doctor didnt seem at all concerned with the baby but she did seem concerned about the abnormal cells. Thanks so much for your help and any advice or information will be so helpful!

Ohh also, when I went to the dr. last week I was 1cm dialated and 70% effaced. Dont know if this might speed up the labor process since I am a little dialated and effaced.
