Ovulation Myths

Dr.Q, our FertilityTies.com Fertility Expert shares with us some of the myths out there about ovulation and fertility, we hope that by learning these your Journey to conceive will become easier:
Myth #1 If I don't have implantation bleeding I can't ovulate and become pregnant.
NOT TRUE This is a phenomenon that doesn't occur to all women. In other words you don't need to experience implantation bleeding in order to become pregnant.
Myth #2 I can always predict ovulation through my cervix position.
NOT TRUE Checking Cervix position can be challenging for most women and shouldn't be used as the sole factor to calculate ovulation. Changes in your bladder can alter the position of your cervix.
Myth #3 If I don't have Cervical Mucus, I'm not ovulating.


NOT TRUE Cervical Mucus is not something experienced by all women, and they can still ovulate. Hence the importance of taking into account other factors such as BBT and OPKs.
Myth #4 If I don't have Ovulation Pains, I'm not ovulating.


NOT TRUE Ovulation pains are not always experienced when ovulating. Furthermore, some women experience them and do not reflect that she's in fact ovulating.
Myth #5 I always must have early pregnancy symptoms to indicate that I'm pregnant.


NOT TRUE Many women don't experience pregnancy symptoms during early pregnancy or their two week wait and they still get a positive pregnancy test.
